This policy describes the GreenLight Outdoors early access website and the current app.

Early access email requests

When you request early access, we collect your email address and the time of your request to send launch and product updates. Cloudflare stores the request and handles hosting, connection information, and abuse controls. Kit processes subscriber information and sends the updates. A saved request may wait for processing if an email service is unavailable.

Your choices and retention

Unsubscribe using the link in our emails. To request access or deletion, contact privacy@greenlight-outdoors.com. We retain early access records while operating the list or until a deletion request is completed. A minimal suppression record may remain with our email provider to honor an unsubscribe. We do not sell early access email addresses.

Locations and app data

The app uses locations you select or allow through device permissions to request forecasts and maps. Property and stand records are stored on your device. Location coordinates are sent to weather, mapping, and elevation providers as needed to supply those features. The weather service uses Open-Meteo, with a National Weather Service forecast overlay where available. Elevation comes from USGS. Apple provides platform mapping and subscription services. Provider processing is governed by each provider's policies.

Research records

Scores are unvalidated estimates. Any local records you export for model research should be shared only with your informed agreement. The current app does not automatically upload a hunt-outcome research dataset.

Security and contact

We restrict access to stored signup records and keep provider credentials on the server. No service can guarantee absolute security. Contact privacy@greenlight-outdoors.com about privacy, access, or deletion. We will update this policy as features or data practices change.

Hunting history and backups

Sit logs and sighting times, wind and thermal observations, manually entered game-camera sightings, routes, entrance/exit pins, and deer-use areas are stored locally on your device. Subscription cancellation or expiration does not delete these records. Deleting the app can remove them. There is no automatic GreenLight cloud sync or shared research upload. You may save a hunting backup to a location you select, such as iCloud Drive, and restore it later. Backup files contain private locations and notes; protect access to them. Processing by your chosen storage provider is subject to its policies. Restoring App Store purchases does not restore hunting records.

Weather requests and route recording

Weather requests pass through our Cloudflare-hosted service to Open-Meteo. The service caches coordinate-based forecast responses for approximately five minutes and processes network information, including IP address, for rate limiting and security. Service diagnostics may include request failures. Precise stand coordinates are also sent to USGS for terrain estimates. User-initiated walk recording uses GPS and can continue in the background until you stop recording. Recorded routes remain on your device unless you export or share them.

Trial and subscriptions

A local trial-start record is stored in the device Keychain and may remain after uninstalling the app. Apple processes subscription payments; GreenLight does not receive your payment-card details. Purchase verification controls access to paid features.
